Flow Word

Flow Word focuses on literature and poetry.
It is possible to be standing in the middle of a museum with no idea what one has come there for, with merely the desire to seek out the other through the eyes, imagination, fears, curiosity and ignorance we all share. Asking life for a moment to put ourselves in other people's shoes, to breathe in another language, to see as if we came from outside. As one always arrives from outside.
What is poetry if not a crossing of the night? The naming of the barbaric, the intimate? To recognise the reverse, the sun and the night, the fertile or devastated land? João Pedro Grabato Dias wrote that the act of writing is like attempting to harpoon whales while snacking on tedium. Crossing the night, we will attempt to catch the whales of wakefulness and dreams, some with documents, others with a leap. There will surely be time to also snack on tedium.

Nuno Moura was born in Lisbon in 1970. He had asthma. He worked in adverts, press clipping, video rental stores, swimming pools and bookshops. He is a homemaker, poet, reader and editor of Mia Soave and Douda Correria. He is part of the collectives O COPO, ÃFÑM, Batatas Parvas and Céus Senhora.

Changuito was born in Lisbon in the 1970s. He was mostly here and, sometimes, over there. Since the end of the 20th century, he has been organising events with an audience. Poetry readings, concerts and the devil. In 2008, he opened the Poesia Incompleta bookshop. Then closed it. Then reopened it. And it will continue until bankruptcy.

Alexandra Lucas Coelho has published 14 books, including novels, non-fiction and children's books. She studied Communication at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, Theatre at IFICT and Islamic Portugal and the Mediterranean in Mértola. Coelho worked for ten years in radio and twenty years at Público newspaper as a reporter, chronicler, editor and correspondent (in Jerusalem and Rio de Janeiro). She was awarded several journalism and literature prizes. She is currently working for RTP on the weekly television show Volta ao Mundo em Cem Livros.

A garota não [the no girl] is a project by the singer-songwriter Cátia Mazari Oliveira who sings a deliciously interventive reflection on our times, without gimmicks, taking an up-to-date, genuine and sweet approach. Inspired by her daily life, she sings about social, political and human rights issues. On Rua das Marimbas, an album released in 2019, she sings about what hurts on the inside, what laughs on the outside, and what the days bring. No dia do teu Casamento and Adamastor, a track whose videoclip was awarded as the best music video by the 17th Arouca Film Festival, are both part of this album.

Flow is a programme that challenges the public to a new way of entering into dialogue and communicating with maat exhibitions. With guest writers, musicians and performers, performances based on the Word, Sound and Body will take place in the exhibition space, proposing moments of immersion which provoke new readings and a fluid relationship with the installations and other artworks on display.
