2. Personal data, processing purposes and legal basis
The personal data collected through the form(s) on the websites (such as name and email address) is used to send email newsletters about the EDP Foundation's activities, according to your choices and subject to consent. These include the Museum's cultural programme (“MAAT Notícias” & “MAAT Escolas” newsletters, regular promotion of exhibitions, conferences, workshops and other Museum activities), Electra magazine (published by the EDP Foundation), and other EDP Foundation activities, namely those related to social intervention/innovation projects. The personal data collected in connection with the purchase of Museum tickets or the Maat Membership card, which in the latter case includes sending the card by post, is processed with a view to completing those purchases. Such processing is therefore necessary to fulfil the contract between the data subject and the EDP Foundation.
The EDP Foundation may also process personal data with a view to conducting marketing campaigns within the scope of the EDP Foundation's activities, subject to consent. You may withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data for these purposes at any time, with no retroactive effects.
The EDP Foundation may also process personal data in connection with educational activities and workshops conducted through the Museum, some of which are aimed at the public and Museum visitors and others at minors. Such processing is necessary to fulfil the contract between the data subject/minor's guardian (where applicable) and the EDP Foundation; if the educational activities involve taking photographs or recording videos, the personal data will be processed subject to consent. You may withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data for these purposes at any time, with no retroactive effects.

Users’ personal data may be communicated to an appropriate service provider contracted by the EDP Foundation, which will process the data exclusively for the purposes established by the EDP Foundation and in compliance with its instructions, observing the laws on personal data protection, information security and other applicable regulations.

The EDP Foundation will only retain subjects’ personal data for as long as it takes to achieve the aims for which they were collected, i.e. while the cultural and social activities of the EDP Foundation/MAAT - Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology remain the same as when consent was given.
Personal data collected by the EDP Foundation in order to send the newsletter will be kept for as long as the newsletter continues to be sent, or until the data subject cancels the newsletter subscription.
Data relating to browsing of the websites will be kept for the duration of the cookies in question, in accordance with the information provided in the Cookie Policies provided on the websites and in the OneTrust cookie management tool.
