International Museum Day takes place on 18 May. To mark this occasion, MAAT is offering a special programme that includes yoga, guided visits, and theatre, among other proposals.

International Museum Day is an initiative created by ICOM (International Council of Museums) to promote the role of museums in cultural exchange and development. This year's theme ‘Museums for Education and Research’ aims to emphasise the importance of museums as dynamic educational institutions that promote learning, discovery, and cultural understanding.

Entry to the museum and the activities are free, with the exception of Yoga aMAR and Night at the Museum.*

*Tickets must be collected from the museum's ticket office on the same day. Paid activities can be purchased online at the ticket office or at the museum.
