Lisbon Art Weekend: Contemporary Art Workshop for children

Body

MAAT is joining the sixth edition of Lisbon Art Weekend, an annual event that invites all art lovers to explore Lisbon’s contemporary art scene, with an emphasis on parallel events centred on the contemporary visual arts. A Contemporary Art workshop for children will take place at the museum on 10 November, as part of the event's programme.

Lisbon Art Weekend is a non-profit organisation that aims to contribute to the strengthening and fluidity of the contemporary art scene in Lisbon through the connection of multiple art spaces, such as galleries, artist-run spaces, private art collections, museums and public projects dedicated to the arts. LAW's main objective is to give all audiences the opportunity to visit and become acquainted with Lisbon's contemporary art in its natural environment, providing a space for discussion and reflection through parallel events.

Contemporary Art Workshop: Discover the MAAT

Patrícia Trindade will lead an interactive visual arts workshop where participants are invited on an exciting journey through the museum, and where creativity and curiosity take centre stage. As they explore the galleries, visitors will participate in a fun, clue-based adventure designed to challenge their imagination, intuition and problem-solving skills.

With a focus on learning through play, participants are encouraged to look closely at the artworks, ask questions, share ideas and interpret what they see. This is an opportunity for children and families to engage with art in a practical and engaging way, while developing creative thinking and communication skills.
