EDP Foundation New Artists Award: applications until 30 April

Applications for the 15th edition of EDP Foundation New Artists Award are open from 13 March to 30 April. Created in 2000, this biennial award is intended for artists with short and not yet established individual careers, with no age limit, and in all forms of the plastic and visual arts. Applications from Portuguese artists, whether residing in Portugal or not, and from foreign artists residing therein are eligible.

The applications will be reviewed by a Selection Jury composed by Catarina Rosendo, Luís Silva, and Sérgio Mah, who will select a group of five to eight finalist artists.

The group of finalists will participate in a collective exhibition to be held at MAAT in 2025, during which the Award Jury, made up of national and international personalities of acknowledged merit in the fields of plastic and visual arts, will select the winner, who will be awarded a prize worth 20,000 euros.
