Art is a means for many things: reflecting, communicating, experimenting, contemplating, and even protesting. Sometimes it may not mean anything; sometimes it may mean everything. Yet it invariably makes us feel something. When we add our presence to the equation, the possibilities of interpretation are endless. What do artworks tell us when we listen to and observe them? In the Yes! We Are Here! workshop, we will use Luisa Cunha's work to examine what influence art can have in our lives. To get to know this artist's work better, we will take a brief tour to the exhibition Hello! Are You There?, walking through the space, observing, and listening. After that, using different materials, we will discover how sound, drawing, collage, and other objects can help us create works that will bring different readings to the artist's work.
