The ‘Other’ is a mirror that reflects us in the sense that it shows us who we truly are, our character, our behaviour when faced with something different or contrary to us. In that sense, in its confrontation with the Other, Western society has always built a thousand mirrors as a way to strengthen its power, but also to constantly determine and rediscover its own identity. Based on this, the workshop Between Empathy and Consciousness will work on the ideas of empathy, love, compassion, diversity, border, accessibility, equality, and freedom in order to attain a broader consciousness of ourselves in relation to Others.
There are people who fight for one day, and they are good.
Others fight one year and they are better.
And there are those who fight many years and are very good.
But there are the ones who fight their whole lives,
and those are the indispensable ones.
