On International Museum Day, and as part of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of 25 April 1974, MAAT's deputy director Sérgio Mah is inviting the public to a guided tour of the exhibition Hoje soube-me a pouco, which he co-curated with João Pinharanda. The title of the exhibition quotes a famous song by Sérgio Godinho (Com um brilhozinho nos olhos, from 1981), a figure associated with the resistance movement through protest songs, pointing in thematic directions of multiple interpretations, but based on a common foundation: the celebration of freedom as a fundamental value for the creative space. The exhibition features around 100 works by more than 40 artists who marked the period after the re-founding of Portuguese democracy but is not restricted exclusively to the years of the revolution. Bringing together works from the EDP Foundation Art Collection and works from other private and institutional collections, the exhibition also features previously unseen works, with an organisation that crosses different generations and artistic imagery.
