‘Keeping the diary (begun in May 2018, of which this exhibition shows the year 2023, some days from previous years, and the first few months of 2024) has become, according to Daniel Blaufuks, the task of a lifetime. By exhibiting his memory, his days and those of the world intersect. The artist reacts to his surroundings by fighting against the voracious race of time over things. Even if he doesn't cancel time, he at least slows it down, postponing the erasure of things; but it is significant that he calls this work a "non-diary", and that he refers to "non-portraits" when he talks about the faces of some of the interlocutors he fixes on these pages.’ João Pinharanda
