MAAT runs an integrated programme of creative actions aimed at people with disabilities and/or mental illness. Based on the exhibitions on display, these creative actions explore the museum space and the workshop aspect, with the aim of generating personal responses and creating spaces for dialogue, experimentation and sharing, in the hope that therapy can be achieved together and felt by each individual.
Architecture-themed tour: Accessible Spaces
A tour of the MAAT Gallery's architecture, designed to challenge the viewer to understand architecture as a dialogue between form, function, space and matter. The aim is to raise awareness and make the museum's spaces, materials and models known through sound and touch, so that the participant understands the complexity of the museum project that lies beyond the visible.

Tours with audio description
Audio description is an accessibility resource that allows blind or low-vision visitors to access the museum's exhibitions. Using visual aspects, the visit is based on an intersemiotic translation (the translation of a visual sign into a verbal sign), in which the aim is to provide as faithful and neutral a mediated orientation as possible.
During the visit, mediating objects such as relief prints, touching works (when possible) and other tactile objects are used.
