Text

A six-voice guided tour of the entire exhibition space that delves into alternative narratives that question the conventions of contemporary art, with the participation of artists Lungiswa Gqunta, Jota Mombaça, Evan Ifekoya and Kiluanji Kia Henda, in collaboration with exhibition curators Camila Maissune and João Pinharanda.

Black Ancient Futures brings together 11 artists from the vast African diaspora, presenting works that interweave diverse cultures and geographical spaces. The exhibition challenges traditional views on racial justice, history and the geography of contemporary creation, offering a utopian vision of possible futures. Combining varied techniques, disciplines and languages, the works explore themes such as migration, non-Western spirituality and technology, creating a unique and engaging creative universe.

The 60-minute guided tour will be conducted in English and is aimed at young people and adults.
