MAAT is once again associated with FUSO, the only Portuguese video art festival with an annual programme of national and international production, created in 2009.
Having received over two hundred applications, FUSO’s Open Call 2024 confirms its uniqueness in the Portuguese panorama, as an open platform that welcomes all forms of moving images, without boundaries. A unique festival that brings together students and renowned artists. The selection presented here is the responsibility of Jean-François Chougnet, artistic director of FUSO, and João Pinharanda, director of MAAT, and will be presented on 28 August, at 22.00, in MAAT’s Coal Square.
These works will compete for the EDP Foundation/MAAT Aquisition Prize (chosen by the artistic directors of MAAT and FUSO) and the Duplacena Incentive (public choice). The winners are announced on the festival’s closing night, on 1 September.
