children from 8 to 12 years old
Inspired by the museum exhibitions, we will explore the role of robotics in contemporary art.
In the initial visit to an exhibition at the museum, we will find the inspiration to create, build, and program an artist machine. What will it draw? How will we program it? What if, together, we make it draw?
Plastic arts and robotics workshop with an educational purpose and a strong playful component, in which we propose that participants carry out a creative exercise that starts by looking at, questioning, talking, arguing about, and interpreting the works of art exhibited in the museum.
Discovering maat – Art workshop
With José Santos
Two accompanying adults per group

Invite all your friends and embark together on a real adventure to discover the museum. We will find new and old worlds, with fresh ideas to explore. Take part in this paper chase and solve mysteries and challenges as you search for your party's secret place! At the end, create a big map of this museum adventure with the help of all your guests.

Check-MAAT – Visual arts workshop
With Patrícia Trindade
Two accompanying adults per group
children from 7 to 12 years old
Checkmate is the final move in a chess game, but here it's just the beginning of a fun party!
Today is your day and you will be the king or queen on our big chess board, but where have the pieces gone?
Starting with ideas from the exhibition, we will design and build themed pieces for our game. When all the pieces have taken their place, the white pieces can proceed.
