MAAT is presents Transe, the first anthological exhibition by Portuguese artist Rui Moreira. The exhibition brings together around 80 medium and very large format drawings and paintings on paper, as well as a large sculpture that will be presented in Praça do Carvão.

Disco, an exhibition with more than 500 paintings by Vivian Suter – the Swiss-Argentine artist that explores the possibilities of painting, particularly its relationship with nature. 

Rooms is the first solo exhibition by British artist Anthony McCall in Portugal. Developing in a space between sculpture, cinema, drawing and performance, McCall’s work is recognised for the innovative way in which it explores these intersections: simple and complex, and highly sensory.

The artist works in parallel with drawing and film, using analog technology (film and a Super 8 camera) to make stop motion animation films in which she recreates the movement of bodies from images captured one by one. 

Black Ancient Futures brings together a significant group of 11 artists from the African diaspora who employ different languages to propose a wide range of alternative narratives and landscapes that contest the dominant panorama of the contemporary arts.

Energy. Perpetual motion challenges the public to discover the unexpected beauty in archaeology and engineering. The exhibition establishes a dialogue between objects belonging to the collection of the National Archaeological Museum (MNA) and the EDP Foundation Energy Heritage Collection.
