Exhibition tours at MAAT do not aim to provide ready answers as to what art and a museum space should be, but rather seek to provide an informal space for experimentation which promotes knowledge and dialogue, a shared responsibility which encourages the visitor to take on an active role.

MAAT presents the exhibition Gestos by Ana Léon, who first appeared in Portugal in the 1980s. The artist works in parallel with drawing and film, using analog technology (film and a Super 8 camera) to make stop motion animation films in which she recreates the movement of bodies from images captured one by one.
