The exhibition Margarida Correia – Mais Alto is based on the history of Portuguese parachute nurses who served during the Colonial War, bringing together testimonies, archival materials and images with contemporary artistic practices. Drawing on this historical context, the exhibition addresses themes such as memory, body, care, violence and resistance, offering a critical reflection on individual and collective experiences linked to the colonial past and its reverberations in the present.
Guided tours of MAAT's temporary exhibitions are intended to be an informal space for experimentation, promoting knowledge and dialogue in a shared responsibility, inviting visitors to take an active role.
